About Dan and I
Dan and I met at work. We had been friends for a long time and we really liked each other. As time passed we both broke-up with our significant others. We started hanging out more and more. It was when I was away on a vacation and started to miss Dan that I realized I had started to like him as more than a friend!
Dan proposed on Tuesday September 27, 05 on the San Clemente pier. I didn't expect it because Tuesday seems like such a random day. Earlier that day I had suggested we go out to dinner at the Fisherman's (it is on the San Clemente pier). He asked me while we were walking along the pier. It was perfect.
Here is a picture of my pretty pretty ring

Sorry its so blurry.

Decor Ideas

[
Ceremony Ideas]   [Reception Ideas]

I am thinking about Sage and Ivory for the primary colors for my wedding. I am either going to go with pink as an accent color or I am going to go really tropical. If I go tropical then I will have orange or yellow the accent colors. It sounds ugly, but check it out:

These are the flowers from Bridetobeojb courtesy of Story Keepers Photography
I just love how tropical all the colors look.

Ceremony:

I love this idea for an arch it is so pretty.

If this picture is yours please let me know so I can give you credit

I love this idea for the aisle. I love that it has the petals and the flowers in vases. I might do something similar but with candles.

This is a picture from the Ebell Club web site.

I am kinda worried about lighting my dress on fire ;) so maybe something like this

Reception:

I am so excited I just got the greatest stuff for my reception. I bought my 'I DO' letters and I got a great deal on some glass vases from Tall Mouse. So this is what I am thinking for decorations:
  • When you walk up to the ball room there will be a table out front. Next to it will be the signing board with our e-pic on it. On the table there will be flower petals and maybe an arrangement. I am going to have framed pictures of my parents, FI parents and our grandparents pictures from their weddings. I may even have a few candles in vases on this table.
  • The tables will either have three different sized vases with candles with flower petals or it will have candles with a flower arrangement.
  • The head table will have flowers and candles. I am also going to get the bouquet holders for this table.
  • I am going to make one of those cool card boxes that has the pictures on the outside.

  • Both the cake and present table will have flowers and candles. The present table will have a couple of candles in a row next to a picture of FI dad who died a few years back. Its our way of showing we remember him on our wedding day.

    Cake:

I love this as a cake topper

We already got our cake. It is a 4 layer cake. Yummmmy!

    Flower Ideas

UPDATE! I am having major second thoughts about my flowers. I really feel like the tropical look is too many colors. I want to go a little cleaner. I am thinking that I might end up going with green and white for all the flowers.

I love the green and ivory hydrangea.
    Picture from lilylover77's beautiful wedding

Another view of Lilylover77's aisle treatment.

This is the best idea EVER. They took the flowers used in the aisle treatment and used them for the centerpieces. It is a great way to save money.

    More Flower Ideas:

I think this would be so pretty on the chairs @ the ceremony.

    I love this bouquet.

Here are some beautiful flowers knottie EP100706 found for me:

I love how everything is all different sizes, it looks so cool.

I am either going to go with the tropical flowers or with all ivory flowers. Here are some I like:

    The Ceremony Location

Here is a picture of our ceremony site back in the 20's. How cool is that?!?!

We are having our ceremony at the
Casa Romantica in San Clemente. This is just the greatest location EVER!!

This is the door you see as you come from the parking lot to the Casa.

As you walk through the front you come to the courtyard area.

As you walk out onto the ceremony site this is the view you see.

This is an example of someone else's ceremony. Just look at that awesome view.

This is a pic my FI took with his cell phone, not bad huh? It is of the view you see when you are on the ceremony area.

    The Reception Location
So I would have never dreamed of having anything at a
Holiday Inn, let alone my wedding reception. However, my sister had her reception here and it looks great, the staff is wonderful and the price is soooooo nice especially for southern Orange County!

    This is the downstairs lobby.

Here are some pictures of the reception location. They re did the room a couple of years ago and it looks so great.

    Engagement Pictures

    UPDATE!!!
I Just got the e-pics. I am in love with them. I am so excited for Laurie to shoot our wedding. I love that our photographer just let us be natural. We took the pictures on the San Clemente pier. Please see the
Vendors section for my photographers info. Take a look at the quality difference between these pictures and the ones from the other photog where I am wearing black!
Sorry there are sooo many pictures. She took a couple hundred and there are just some.

    On the Pier:

You can see the Casa romantica in the top left corner of the picture. It is the white small building between the two larger buildings.

    Under The Pier:

    On the Beach:

FI and I had problems taking our e-pics because our photographer thought he didn't have to listen to us. When I got the proofs I noticed my shirt was way more see through than I thought. You could see my straps and it looked so bad. So when we found our new photographer we decided to get them re-done. Here are the old e-pics:

    Save the Dates]   [Invitations]

    Save the Dates:
    Save the Date Cost:
  • Photo magnets from Vista Prints =$54.43 including shipping for 100.
  • Paper from Tall Mouse in Aliso Viejo = $32.00. I did this the wrong way, I bought cardstock paper that was too big so I had to cut it all down. I got 80 sheets of 12x12.
  • Ribbon & Tape from Michaels = $23.64.
    Grand total= $109.43

Here is what the finished product looks like:

The picture of us is a magnet. I didn't know if people would know so I am going to include a paper saying what it is and it will have our web site.

Here are all my supplies laid out.

I am going to make my own magnet STDs. Here are some that I designed in Photoshop.

    #1.

#2. My Mom says this one makes her sea-sick.

    Invitations:
I have decided to make my own invitations. I am going to design them in Photoshop and have them printed. I am going to use CR Reprographics for my printing (thanks for the suggestion lilylover77). I ordered the pocketflods from Cards and Pockets. I got 100 pocketfolds, 100 evnvalopes plus shipping and tax for $102.50.

    Here are my invitations:

    [
My Dress]   [My Day Of Jewelry]   [My Garters]

Here it is.....drum roll please! THE DRESS!
I ordered my dress on January 14th. I am soooo excited it is sooo pretty. I went in to order the dress that I had picked out and the girl who had been helping me said that I just had to try on a new dress that just came it. I tried it and LOVED it. Tip for those girls just going dress shopping, make sure to try on lots of different dresses even if it isnt what you had in mind. You may be really surprised by what looks good on you. :)

My dress is a Jasmine dress and I found it at Ferndales Bridal. They are sooooo nice. I had this young girl (18) help me and I was like great this girl is not going to know anything. Yet she was so nice and she really knew what she was talking about. I would suggest Ferndales to anyone looking for a dress.

Ok, Im sure everyone is sooo tired of seeing pics of my dress, but have to post just a few more!! These are the pictures of me in my very own dress!! I love it sooo much. It is strange when you put on the dress that you will wear to your wedding!!

Its totally big on me and all wrinkly but its sooo pretty!

The back of the dress is the best part. I cannot wait to see how it looks bustled.

I really like the blusher with the veil. I think I may have to go with one.

Here are the pictures of my dress

Here is the front of my dress. I am not crazy about the spaghetti straps, but the rest of the dress more than made up for it.

Here are some close ups on the detailing on the front of the dress.

The back of the dress. I loved the scalloped edge. You cannot really tell in the pic, but the veil has the same edge on it.

Close ups of the back of the dress.

Went to Jinny's the other day to get my BM dresses and couldn't help trying my dress on again.

Here is the gal at Jinny's helping me into my dress, word to the wise..put you slip on first ;).

Here is me with two of my maids. L-R: My MOH my sister, Me, Bridesmaid my cousin.

    Day of Jewelry
Dan is soooo sweet. We went to go get my ring dipped (white gold has to be dipped every 6 months) and I saw this really pretty diamond necklace I wanted. I was about to buy it and he was all, "don't get it, you don't need it". So I didn't get it. Well he was all sneaky and went and got it for me and surprised me with it.

    Here is the blurry picture.

My tiara from Alfred Angelo. I love that it matches the scalloped edge on my dress.

    My Garters:

Ok, so I am soooo in love with my garters! I had them custom made by a gal on e-bay. I found her thanks to Casncort. Her e-mail address is
suzerup@aol.com.. Her E-bay name is suzekate. I just told her kinda what I was looking for and she ran with it. She also makes; Ring bearer pillows, wedding/money card bags, flower girl basket(s), etc.

So FH loves the LA Kings (hockey). So I told her the colors and the kind of garters I liked. She went and found another ebay seller that had the LA Kings charms. She was so easy to work with, she always responded to me e-mails quick.

I took the pictures with my phone so they don't look that great.

Here they are from far away.

    Close up.

Really close up. I love the charm she found for them.

    Groom & Bridal Party Attire
    [
    Tuxes]   [Bridesmaids & FlowerGirl]

    Tuxes:

    Comming Soon!

    Bridesmaids & FlowerGirl: UPDATE!!!!
I have found the BM dresses!! After changing my mind a 1/2 a dozen times my BM and I were able to pick a dress we all liked. It is a Bill Levekoff dress that we found at Jinny's Bridal.

It really is much prettier in person. I am not sure on the colors yet, I think I may go with the celedon green with a ivory sash. The dress is really flattering on. The sash will be tied in the front, similar to this dress with a broach on the sash.

The BEST thing about the dress is that it is $100 less than the Lazaro and Alvina Valenta dresses we were looking at!!

My cousin Shelley in the BM dress. The sample was way to big

My sister (MOH) in the BM dress, again the sample is HUGE on her.

    Flower Girl Dresses:

My sister picked out the flowergirl dresses, I am having both of her girls as FGs. I just told her the general idea of what I wanted and she went with it. She got the dresses off ebay. I think she paid a little under $10 for each dress and about $15 for shipping. Not to bad, eh?

Here is the front of the dress. We are not using the head piece.

Here is a close up of the front of the dress.

Here is a shot of the back of the dress.

We are going to take off the sash and pin that is on it now. The BM dress designer will sell us extra fabric for our dresses. We are going to have them make the sashes for the girls dresses. So the BM will have Sage dresses with Ivory sashes and the FG dresses will be opposite.

    Makeup and Hair
I had my makeup trial, sorry no pics. I went to Carina and she was sooo great. I have actually go through two other people for my makeup and I was not happy. I think it is because I went to MAC and there were always a lot of people there and I felt rushed. With Carina she took the time to talk to me about how I wanted to look like and what I liked and disliked. Her prices are really great too!
    See
    vendors for contact info.

    Hair Ideas
So I don't really know if I want to wear my hair half up or all up, yet. Here are some of the ideas I really like:
    Half-up:

    Bridal Shower

My sister and bridesmaids did such a wonderful job planning the perfect bridal shower for me! We had the shower catered by Penpinos, yuuummmm! The theme was presents so they had all these preset boxes all over the room. They even had the cake decorated to look like a cake. It was such a blast.
    Here are some pictures:

Here are the flowers. They were really pretty but some were kinda dead. We cannot complain because a friend of a friend did them for free.

I got the cutest dress from Arden B but it had a rip under the boob. I was all pissed. I ended up taking it back after the shower.

Me drinking..hee hee. I had my hair trial that day and I really loved th curls in the back but the front wasnt that great.

My preggo sister (long dark hair) chatting with people.
